Hadestown Musical Tickets

Hadestown musical is a story of love that took place in the underworld and in the world above. The music, lyrics, and book of this exciting musical were Composed and written by Anais Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin. The musical is about the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, and it tells their own version of the story.

The love Orpheus had for Eurydice was so strong that it made him for her to the underworld to rescue her from the vicious King Hades. As the storyline implies, love is a really beautiful thing that makes people act do crazy things. This love story didn’t just stop at the star couple; it also highlighted a bit the love life of King Hades and his wife, Persephone. The original version of the musical premiered in the town of Barre, Vermont, in 2006. A newer version of it was later created and premiered off-Broadway on May 6, 2016, at the New York Theatre Workshop. The show premiered in previews on Broadway in March 2019.

The Broadway musical has won many awards, like the Tony Award for Best Musical, Tony Award for Best Original Score, and Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
