Hamilton is coming to Milwaukee for the first time at the Marcus Performing Arts Center, along with a ‘rad’ offer. For a give-away price of $10, you stand a chance to win a pair of the 40 tickets for the Hamilton performances – talk about poetic justice for “The ten-dollar Founding Father without a father” (PS: these are lyrics from the Hamilton musical).
From 22nd October to 17th November, you can sign up for the digital lottery at broadwayseats.org/hamilton-tickets/lottery/ or through the Android and iOS “Hamilton” mobile apps. The lottery is open when the clock strikes 11 a.m. two days prior to a performance and closes at 9 a.m. the next day. For example, the lottery for the November 17 show starts open on November 15 at 11 a.m. and closes on November 16 at 9 a.m.
Are you eligible for the digital lottery? Participants of the digital lottery must be above the age of 18 and possess a valid photo ID (Tip: Ensure that the registration name matches the one your ID). Also, keep in mind that each person is only allowed one entry for each performance.
Now let’s talk about the winners. When the entry period closes at 9 a.m. the day before a specific performance, winners and non-winners will receive a text or email notification 2 hours later at 11 a.m. Winners get the fantastic chance to purchase a maximum of two tickets at a throw-away price of $10.
Purchases are made online using a credit card on the same day – unclaimed tickets are forfeited at 4 p.m. The purchase link and transaction code are provided in the notification message. Once the transaction is complete, the lottery tickets can be collected 2 hours before the respective show. Please note that the $10 tickets are not transferrable.
