The Lion King musical is truly taking the international community by storm, bringing its classic sing-a-longs and riveting characters to theaters all over Asia and South Africa. This is by the direction of Disney Theatrical Production and the Michael Cassel Group, who help make the show a box office blockbuster for over a decade in the United States.

Julie Taymor is the renowned director of The Lion King musical, with over 20 years of successful stage shows making it the most successful musical of all time. She has attributed much of her success to the 4 years she spent traveling Indonesia and its surrounding countries. Auditions for the Asian and African musical tour begin in March of 2017 with tickets expected to go on sale in October of 2017.
