The Prequel Of The “Hunger Games” Set To Feature The Star Of “West Side Story”
The universe of the “Hunger Games” look ready to welcome Rachel Zegler as it gets ready for its prequel, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.”
The actress from “West Side Story” tried to create a buzz about her appearance in the film by posting a cryptic message on Twitter.
Broadway variation of West Side Story Musical are welcome visitors to US national tour.
Later on Twitter, the young actress verified the news of her appearance on the how by explaining that her previous “mysterious message” on Twitter spelt out “Lucy Gray Bird” the name of her character in the “Hunger Games.”
The film is an adaptation of a book by Suzanne Collins which is titled “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” and was launched in 2020. The film looks to act as a prequel show to the original episodes as it spotlights the story behind Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth), the dictator who rules Panem.
At a young age, Snow becomes Lucy Gray’s mentor as she has been chosen for the cruel deadly fight that features young teenagers. Viewers were stunned when they witnessed Lucy Gray sing during the chilling occasion. Snow sees that her singing has the potential to help her become victorious at the games.
Nathan Kahane, the President of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, was so happy with the decision of the production to hire Zegler, as he praised her intelligence, agility, and strong voice. He concluded that Rachel embodies a wide collection of the skillset needed for any actress to wow their audience at their level.
The show will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who was in the director’s chair for the last three editions of the “Hunger Games” in the franchise. He also gave out a statement that seemed to praise the dramatic and musical prowess of Rachel.
Fans of the show waited excitedly as they eagerly anticipate the “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” which will start filming later in the year and has a theatrical release date of November 17, 2023.
